Roger has enough trouble assembling his cricket team to play each Saturday afternoon but these complications pale beside those occurring among their various wives and girlfriends. As a final catastrophe, rain starts to fall. This very funny play was turned into a successful TV comedy in the 1990’s starring Robert Daws, Brenda Blethyn, Timothy Spall and Josie Lawrence.
