Biker dies following West Bromwich collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died when his bike hit a lamppost in West Bromwich.

The 37 year-old rider from Bilston suffered serious injuries in the collision in Holloway Bank, Hill Top, at around 11.20pm on Saturday (26 May).

He was taken to hospital but sadly died yesterday morning. His family are currently being supported by specialist officers. PC David Crump, from the Collision Investigation Unit at West Midlands Police, said:

"Our sympathies are with the man’s family at this difficult time. We are still working to establish the circumstances around what happened and I would ask anyone who hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting log number 2895 of 26/5/18.
