Black Country T-shirts wins national award

Staff at Black Country T-shirts in Dudley are celebrating after being named UK T Shirt Printer of the Year by a national magazine.

‘Corporate Livewire’ named the shop, which was set up in 2007 and specialises in custom garment printing and the promotion of Black Country culture, as the winner this week.

They have a physical store on Castle Hill as well as an online store, both of which sells an extensive range of printed t-shirts, jackets, hoodies and canvases.

The business also aims to celebrate its roots in the region with a range of Black Country gifts which are now being sold to customers in over 10 countries.

They’re also well known for their online blog and series of videos, including their Black Country alphabet video, which is taught in a number of schools as an example of colloquialisms specific to areas across the UK.

The judging panel praised Black Country T-shirts for being excellent ambassadors for their local area. They said:

”The business recognises the importance of empowering those in their community, as well as reaching target consumers beyond the Black Country. The company has a clear purpose and has developed a central ethos that serves the needs of the business and its clients.

“Its outstanding personalised approach further emphasises Black County T Shirts commitment to putting people at the forefront of its business model.”
