Bungling robbers jailed for Stourbridge shop raid

Three bungling robbers who were foiled by brave customers when they tried to get away with money and cigarettes at a Stourbridge shop have been jailed for a total of 8 years and 7 months.

Stuart Dublin and Carl Cina were armed with an iron bar when they burst into One Stop, whilst their getaway driver, Delroy Nettleford, waited outside. They grabbed cash and cigarettes as customers, including a ten-year-old schoolboy, looked on.

Their plans came unstuck when Pardeep Singh entered and overpowered them - Cina had his nose broken and lost several teeth while Dublin was left with a permanently damaged ear. They were detained by other customers till police arrived.

36-year-old Dublin of Blowers Green Road, Nettleford, 53, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley and 51-year-old Cina of Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, all admitted robbery and theft at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
