A mass brawl has left an elderly woman injured a house severely damaged and a police officer assaulted leading to two arrests in Dudley.

West Midlands Police received a number of 999 calls just before 11pm on New Year's Eve after a fight, involving up to 10 men, broke out in Kestrel Road.

During the brawl, a woman was attacked and dragged along the floor and a Nissan Micra, reversing at speed down the road, lost control and hit the front window of a house causing significant structural damage and injuring an elderly woman who was inside the house at the time. A Ford Fiesta was also set on fire during the incident.

A 20-year-old Telford man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs and a 16-year-old teenager from Dudley was arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault - including one on the arresting officer - after two people were punched in the face and the arresting officer.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101 or via the live chat facility at west-midlands.police.uk.
