Halesowen College has confirmed that a member of their community has tested positive for Covid-19.

It remains unclear whether the person affected is a member of staff or a student. A spokesperson for the college said:

“As an increasing number of cases are confirmed in the UK the College has had a member of our community test positive. We have reported this to Public Health England and have again followed their advice to maintain safety for staff and students.

“The Nursery is the area of the college that is affected and, as a consequence, is being deep cleaned.

“Should you be concerned about your health please refer to our website for additional information.”

The college have confirmed that, should students wish to study at home at this time, it will not impact on their attendance.
