Companies to tee off in aid of charity at annual Golf Day

Preparations are underway for the corporate Golf Day in aid of Compton Care, taking place this year on Thursday 12th May.

The Wolverhampton-based charity, which is celebrating its 40th birthday, is returning to South Staffordshire Golf Club for the annual event and hopes that local businesses will once again come out to show their support and enjoy a day of golf, networking and fundraising.

Teams will battle it out over an 18-hole course before sitting down for a two-course evening meal, followed by a raffle and prize-giving ceremony. The day is sponsored by European Mezzanine Systems Ltd who have supported the event since 2016. Elaine Grant, Corporate Fundraiser at Compton Care, said:

“We’re really pleased to see our annual Golf Day returning to its traditional place in our fundraising calendar. It’s the perfect opportunity for colleagues to unwind together in a beautiful setting and enjoy an action-packed day.

“We’ve always been humbled by the generosity and support of local businesses, and as it’s our 40th birthday, we’d love to be able to raise even more money than last year to really ramp up the celebrations.”

Standard team entry is £325, and companies can also choose to sponsor a specific element of the event, with sponsorship packages starting at £100. Mathew Oliver, Managing Director at European Mezzanine Systems Ltd, said:

“We are always pleased to be able to support the fantastic work of Compton Care. As a Wolverhampton-based company ourselves we recognise that their support for patients and families in the local area is nothing less than incredible, and we are proud to be sponsoring the event again this year.”
