Dudley Arts Council is officially changing its name to Black Country Arts Council, to Better recognise the area it serves.

At a final AGM, it was felt the name change would more accurately reflect its current role.

The organisation supports arts projects within the wider Dudley Borough and outgoing Chair, Keith Horsfall, said:

"It's an exciting time to be involved in the arts in the region with success of the Black Country Festival driving forward identity".

Leader of Dudley Council, Pete Lowe, also spoke of new possibilities opening up with the creation of the West Midlands Combined Authority.
