Dudley Council and CAMRA produce real ale guide for the borough

This year’s Dudley Winter Ales Fayre will be held at Dudley Town Hall from today.

In the run up to Christmas, revellers are invited to sample Dudley’s delicious real ales by following a fantastic trail, produced in conjunction with the Campaign for Real Ale.

A warm welcome awaits visitors at the hidden gems of 36 traditional Black Country pubs featured in the updated edition of the trail.  The leaflet is free to pick up at borough libraries, at Dudley Council Plus, individual pubs and by downloading from the Discover Dudley website at discoverdudley.org.uk.

Visitors to this year’s Dudley Winter Ales Fayre, run by the Dudley & South Staffordshire branch of CAMRA, will also be able to pick up a copy. This festival is being held at Dudley Town Hall from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 November and will have 70+ traditional Real Ales available to sample.

Details of this event are available at dudley.camra.org.uk. Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said:

“We have so much tradition and heritage within Dudley and the wider Black Country, and it is through initiatives, such as this Real Ale Trail, that we get to celebrate it. Real Ale is making such resurgence at the moment due to the quality and variety of the beverages out there.

“This trail leads visitors to a number of independent and well known local breweries across the whole of the borough, many of which also offer food – as well as a warm welcome.

“Why not enjoy your festive celebration by tackling some of our 36 pub trail?
