Dudley man jailed for hit and run death

A Dudley man who killed a pedestrian when he crashed his car in Netherton last November has been jailed.

22-year-old Jordan Edwards was doing more than 70mph when he hit a pavement and struck Gary Wroblewski on the Cradley Road as he walked home from the pub.

He finally handed himself into police four months after fleeing the scene of the crash and admitted causing death by dangerous driving last month.

Edwards, from Terry Street, who has a string of previous convictions, was jailed for four-and-a-half years and banned from driving for six years.
