Dudley Parkrun make Action Heart donation

The team from Dudley Parkrun have paid a visit to Action Heart, who are based in a specially built centre at Russels Hall Hospital, to hand over their last donation generated from the profits from their coffee shop.

Volunteers Dee, Mollie and Gavin were met by Joel Green who has been a great supporter of Dudley Parkrun and has organised takeover events with the help of volunteers from the Action Heart Running group, who meet at the centre every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Action Heart Director, Russell Tipson, showed the trio around the facility, which includes over a hundred pieces of cardiovascular and resistance equipment, alongside consultation and assessment suites. Mr Tipson said:

"Not only do we have a comprehensive rehabilitation programme for cardiac patients, but we also deliver a prevention programme too which, at its core, is about exercise and lifestyle changes."

A spokesperson for Dudley Parkrun added:

"We'd like to thank Action Heart for supporting us and look forward to seeing them again in 2018."
