Four arrests made in Dudley murder investigation

Police in Dudley have arrested four men as part of an investigation into the shooting of Mohammed Haroon Zeb last Sunday.

Mr Zeb, known as Haroon, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot in Queens Cross just after 12.35am.

A post mortem found he died of gun shot wound. A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released pending further enquires.

Three men, aged 19, 25 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They are currently in custody.

The investigation continues at pace as officers continue to try and establish exactly what happened. They are asking anyone with any information - no matter how insignificant you may feel it is - to get in touch as soon as you can.

It’s understood that a man flagged down local officers in the area, just after Haroon was shot and detectives are still keen to speak to him. Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from our homicide team, said:

“These arrests are a significant development as our investigation continues at pace. However, I still need anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.

"Haroon’s death is tragic, my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time."

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is urged to contact Police via Live Chat, or by calling 101. Quote 20DY/28354Z/21.
