Four people have been injured – one of them seriously – in a car crash in Old Hill.

Two vehicles collided on Tinsley Avenue in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday), leaving three men trapped.

One of them, who’s thought to be in his 20s, sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to the Major Trauma Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The other two, a man and a woman, were taken to Russells Hall, while a man in the second car, also in his 20s, was taken to Sandwell General, all with minor injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two cars that had been involved in the collision.

“Three men were trapped in one car. All three received treatment whilst they were all extricated from the vehicle with the assistance of the fire service.

“Treatment continued [on the man who was seriously injured] as he was transferred by ambulance to [the] Major Trauma Unit who were awaiting his arrival.

“All three emergency services worked seamlessly together on scene to ensure the patients received treatment as quickly and safely as possible.”
