Gnoming Around At Himley Hall and Park

An epic adventure to rescue gnomes lost in the wilderness at a borough park is set to keep children busy next week.

The popular Dudley Council-run Himley Hall and Park will host a special one-off event ‘Game of Gnomes’ on Wednesday July 27 from 11am to 3pm.

Children and families will go on a quest to rescue a group of gnomes that are lost in the grounds of the hall.  They will need to a follow a series of clues in a bid to save them. Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member responsible for tourism, said:

“Himley Hall and Park is a great place to spend time this summer with children and this is just one of many activities organised that will encourage them to enjoy the great outdoors and have fun.”

The venue will also host a princess and pirate treasure hunt on Wednesday August 3 from 11am to 3pm.  Boys and girls can dress up as their favourite characters as they go in hunt of the treasure.

Later in the school holidays there will also be a scavenger hunt where children will be able to explore the natural environment.  The activity takes place on Wednesday August 10 from 11am to 3pm.

All of the events are free and are aimed at children under the age of 10.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  People should register to take part at a meeting point just off the main car park.
