Halesowen church receives £7k in funding

Providence Methodist Church, Windmill Hill, Halesowen, is set to get a new stairlift thanks to a £7194 grant from Ibstock Enovert Trust.

The money will be used to replace the obsolete stairlift at the church. Pat Southall, a representative from the church, believes the facility will make a huge difference to everyone who uses Providence, for its varied activities. She said:

“This project will provide a huge benefit to people who struggle with stairs. Its fantastic that Ibstock Enovert Trust has awarded us a grant to purchase this stairlift.

“We are all looking forward to it being fitted in the next few weeks, and thus making all areas accessible to everyone.”

Angela Haymonds, Secretary of Ibstock Enovert Trust, added:

“The trustees of IET are keen to fund projects that make community facilities as accessible to the public as possible.

“We are delighted that this £7K grant will enable Providence to replace the stairlift, making the premises accessible to all for the many activities that take place at the church.”

This is just one of the many community projects Ibstock Enovert Trust has funded, with the scheme offering funding to projects that benefit communities living within 10 miles of a landfill site.
