Have your say on tram services across the region

West Midlands Metro customers are being offered the chance to have their say in shaping future tram services.

A new forum will provide tram users with direct contact with the Metro management team, alongside the opportunity to give feedback on existing services and new initiatives aimed at driving the network forward. Vicki Bennett, West Midlands Metro Customer Service Manager, explained:

“The views of people who actually use the tram are vital to our future plans. Their feedback is particularly important as the network expands so we’re now recruiting members for the new ‘Metro Matters’ forum, which is set to replace the existing Midland Metro Passenger Panel.

“We’re looking for a broad cross section of customers, aged 18 and above, who use the tram to get to work or college, visit the shops, meet up with friends or just explore the region.”

To apply for a spot on the new forum, all customers need to do is fill in a short questionnaire that asks their age, how often they travel by tram and what they use it for. They’ll also be asked what tickets they buy and stops they use, together with a brief statement on why they’d like to take part.

Applicants will also need to be available to attend quarterly meetings and occasional special events. The questionnaire can be found here and the closing date for applications is Sunday, April 7th. Vicki added:

“We really want to have our customers on board as we drive forward with plans to further improve services and, by joining the forum, passengers can help ensure their voice is heard.”
