Intruder wakes elderly lady in her dudley home

The man is described as white, thin build with dark stubble and wore a dark hoody.

Police have launched an investigation after an elderly lady was woken up by an intruder as she slept in her bed at her Dudley home.

The 93-year-old woman was disturbed by the burglar, who’d broken into her home in Parkes Hall Road, Dudley through a window around 2.30am on Monday morning.

The intruder pushed her back down into the bed and demanded to know where she kept her money. He then stole cash and jewellery before escaping.

Fortunately she wasn’t physically injured, but she remains very shaken by what happened.

Police enquiries are on-going to trace the man who did this and would appeal for anyone who has information or anyone in the Parkes Hall Road area early yesterday morning, who may have seen anything, to contact officers on 101.

The man is described as white, thin build with dark stubble and wore a dark hoody.
