Netherton man cleared of historic sex attacks

A Netherton man has been found not guilty of carrying out sex attacks on a schoolboy nearly 30 years ago.

Peter Dalley, who’s 65, denied two charges of targeting the boy between 1987 and 1989.

But Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that, though he was close to the boy – who was under 16 at the time of the alleged offences – there was no evidence to support the prosecution.

The court also heard testimony from many individuals about Mr. Dalley’s good character.
