A new Saturday car boot sale comes to Wednesbury every week, starting this weekend.

The sale, which will run from 9am-2pm on the market next to Morrison's, will kick off with free face-painting between 10am and 12.30pm this Saturday. Sandwell Council's cabinet member for highways and environment Councillor David Hosell said:

"People enjoy a car boot sale and we've been having success with the monthly Sunday car boots we've been holding in Wednesbury for some time. We've decided to make these a weekly thing on a Saturday when we know people are in town doing their shopping.

"We hope people will use it as an opportunity to sell things they no longer use and for shoppers to pick up some bargains."

Pitches are £5.10 each and there's no need to book. Traders can turn up from 8am, customers from 9am.
