Police issue warning after attempted motorhome theft

Police in Dudley are appealing for information following a series of attempted motorhome thefts across the area.

Officers are reminding people to ensure their vehicles are secure, after four were targeted between 2-3am. It's believed that the same group of up to three would-be thieves were involved and they fled in a dark coloured Audi - on cloned plates - after their failed break-in attempts.

The motorhomes targeted were parked up in Kittiwake Drive and Nuthatch Drive, Quarry Bank; Oak Park Road, Wordsley; and Gayfield Avenue in Brierley Hill.

Police are seeking doorbell or dashcam footage from anybody who was driving through the areas at the time which can help identify who was involved.

Officers will be in the area carrying out enquiries and offering reminders on crime prevention tips. You can also get some advice on keeping your vehicle secure on the West Midlands Police website.

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers via Live Chat and quote log 248 of 24 August.
