Police seek Stourbridge burglars

Police are urgently appealing for help to trace four men who broke into the home of a couple in their 70s in Stourbridge at around 6.30pm on Friday evening.

All four were dressed in black and threatened the couple in their home on Harringay Drive, demanding cash and jewellery.

When one of the men grabbed the woman, her husband attempted to fight off all four intruders, but was struck with a kitchen stool, leaving him with a deep cut on his head.

Undeterred he challenged the men again with a meat cleaver. They grabbed it from him and left the property with the weapon and the stool. They were last seen heading along Norton Road towards Stourbridge.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the men or have found the kitchen items discarded anywhere.

If you can help, you can contact police via Live Chat on their website (between 8am and midnight) or by calling 101 anytime. Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
