Red House Cone To Celebrate Bastille And The Black Country

The Red House Glass Cone will be celebrating Black Country and Bastille Day when the events coincide next week.

The two days fall on Thursday 14 July, one commemorates the storming of the Bastille during the French Revolution, the other celebrates all that is great and good about the Black Country.

French artist, Josephine Tournebize of 'Josephine Tournebize Jewellery' is already flying the Tricolore outside her studio and will be opening her doors to show off her work.

The Red House Glass Cone is flying the Black Country Flag and matching bunting in readiness for Black Country Day, and also hosts a range of Black Country themed items in its shop and onsite studios.

The cone's friendly guides will be offering guided tours of the Red and White House Cone sites at 10.30am and 1pm, complete with the opportunity to make a fused glass tile. Tours and tiles cost £5.75 per person. To pre-book call 01384 815571.

This is the first time the tours have taken in the new White House Cone development and will offer further insight in to the glassmaking heritage on which so much of the wealth of the area was made

The other onsite studios will be open for business, alongside welcoming staff at the Red House Cone Coffee House. For further information call 01384 812750 or visit redhousecone.co.uk.
