Take a bite for Mayor's charity

People can enjoy a slice of cake while raising money for the Mayor of Dudley’s chosen charities at a cake sale and coffee morning next week.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Taylor and his wife Winifred will be hosting the event in the Mayor’s Parlour on Monday 23 July.

Representatives from his charities, members of the public and council staff are invited to drop in between 10am and 2pm for a hot drink and slice of donated cake for just £2.

All proceeds will go to Alan’s charities - Headway Black Country, specialising in supporting people with an acquired brain injury, The White House Cancer Support, which supports people with cancer, and The Hope Centre in Halesowen, which provides practical and emotional support to people at their point of need. Councillor Alan Taylor, Mayor of Dudley, said:

“This is a lovely chance to meet members of the public over a cup of coffee and cake while raising money for these worthwhile charities. I hope people from across the borough will join us.”
