Travellers camped on a Wordsley park have been ordered to leave or face court action.

Several caravans remained on King George V Park, off Lawnswood Avenue, this afternoon (Monday September 19) after about 12 initially arrived at the site last Friday.

Residents have reported concerns over engines being revved, dogs barking and vans racing around the park and ward councillors say their phones haven’t stopped ringing since the group parked up.

They have stressed, however, they have been liaising with the police and Dudley Council to try and bring about a swift resolution to the situation which has put the community on edge.
