Unexploded bomb found under M5 causes travel chaos

A suspected bomb has been found under the M5, near Oldbury viaduct, causing chaos for weekend motorists.

The "unexploded device" was discovered by a member of the public with cops closing the busy motorway between junctions one and two. Central Motorway Police Group said:

"M5 north and southbound J1 and 2 are currently closed due to what is believed to be an old unexploded device found by a member of the public under the motorway.

"Closures are in place for safety and as a precaution. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes.”
