Yeltz chairman to step down

The long-serving chairman of Halesowen Town Football Club has said he is to step down.

Colin Brookes, who has held the post for four-and-a-half years but has worked tirelessly for the club for more than 21 years, will stand aside at the end of the season.

He said he felt the time was right for both him and the club, saying it was well equipped to continue moving forwards.

Brookes’ tenure has overseen the transformation of the club which came after a period of decline, with the Yeltz now fighting for a top-half finish in the league.
