The Southampton branch of the national charity is holding it's annual festival for young people with a caring responsibility at home later this month.

Created in 2000, and run in partnership with The Children’s Society, the weekend provides opportunities for young people to enjoy a break from their responsibilities, have fun, make new friends and have their voices heard on issues that affect them.

Consultation with young carers has resulted in two changes in legislation to help support their needs and those of their families.

Over 1300 young people enjoyed camping, adventure activities, bands, fairground rides, radio station and much more in 2017 and any young carer's are invited to do the same this year..

The festival will run from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July, with the theme of “I’m here, right here”. For more information, or to book your place, you can visit their website.
