Casting has been announced for the world premiere of 'Club Tropicana - The Musical' which heads to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Monday 29 April – Saturday 4 May 2019.

X-Factor and Joseph star, Joe McElderry, heads up the cast with Neil McDermott (EastEnders), Kate Robbins (Spitting Image) and Emily Tierney (Wicked) plus former Sugababes star, Amelle Berrabah, will make her musical theatre debut. Press and PR Manager, Scott Bird said:

“The casting for Club Tropicana is hugely exciting! Joe in particular has established himself with our audiences as a firm Grand Theatre favourite. He joins an extremely talented cast and creative team who will no doubt bring the fun and sunshine to Wolverhampton next year, whatever the weather outside!”

The show takes a fun-packed trip back in time to the electric 80s, when hair was big, shoulders were padded, girls (and boys!) just wanted to have fun and mobile phones were shaped like bricks!

The story follows a budding bride and groom who get cold feet and decide to jet off to sunnier climes - but little do they know they’ve checked into the same hotel! The sizzling Summer season at the Club Tropicana sees drinks flowing and tans glowing as we fid out whether our young lovers will decide to go through with the wedding, if the hotel inspectors get their way and close the resort, or maybe the staff will save the day?

Alongside that there's an irresistible soundtrack of some of the most iconic, chart-topping acts from the 80s, including ABC, Cyndi Lauper, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and Culture Club.
