Black Country Radio - On the Road

Black Country Radio are proud to once again be part of the Mayor's Community Weekend with events on 29th and 30th June 2019.

The aim of this weekend is to celebrate diversity and bring people together – encouraging people to go out, engage in their local communities and increase social interaction.

This year Black Country Radio is out an about across the area with two events happening across the weekend:

On Saturday 29th June we'll be in Halesowen town centre, broadcasting live from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Halesowen Fun Day. For the first two hours, our politics show, Black Country Week, will come live from a shop front, giving the public the chance to hold their local councillors and MP's to account.

On Sunday 30th June we're proud to be the headline sponsor for Dudley Council's Armed Forces Day celebrations and we'll be broadcasting live from 10:00am at Himley Hall.

On both days you're welcome to come and say hi and find out what we do! We champion everything positive about the Black Country - whether thats news, travel, events, charities and organisations or just great radio - we are proud to be local.

If you are running an event for the Mayor's Community Weekend, we'd love to give you a mention. Get in touch or tag us on social media, on Facebook or Twitter, and use the hashtag #WMcommunity.

The Mayor's Community Weekend is supported by West Midlands Combined Authority with National Lottery Funding.
