A major expansion plan at a Black Country firm of insurance brokers is gathering pace after bosses announced the transfer of a leading industry light to its business.

Gravity Risk Services announced the transfer of Hagley Insurance Brokers into its business. This follows the opening of a Leicester branch last year and the expansion in the northern region.

This latest move will bring in a team of five from the Hagley business which has been running from the Worcester Road premises for the past seven years. Following the merger in November, Gravity will employ 30 people across the country. Dale Collett, director at Gravity Risk Services, said:

“Hagley Insurance Brokers is an established business with an excellent reputation and more than 100 years of experience combined.

“We all share the same high values in providing the very best service to our clients. This arrangement will also allow us to work closer with KRD financial advisers to support our clients with extended services.”

Gravity Risk Services won the Growth Strategy of the year award 2018 at the Broker Network Conference Awards in October last year. The company won Broker of the Year award in 2014 and was a finalist in 2015 and 2017.

Last month the business brought in six new faces at the firm including three apprentices as it bolstered its commitment to “invest in youth”.
