Mince pies served up for Mayor's Christmas carol concert

A Sandwell supermarket has generously donated more than 300 mince pies for the Mayor of Sandwells civic carol concert on Saturday..

Sandwell Mayor, Councillor Dr Ann Jaron received the early Christmas present from community colleague Parv Basi and deputy store manager James Farrell at the Asda store in Great Bridge. She said:

"I would like to say a really big thank you to Asda Great Bridge for their generous donation once again.

"Their regular support for the Mayor's Christmas carol concert is very much appreciated. Selling the mince pies at the concert will help us raise more funds to help the charities."

Monies raised from the concert will be donated to her charities which are Brushstrokes Community Project and Sandwell Young Carers.
