Stourbridge MP hosts sixth University fair in the town

Margot James, MP for Stourbridge and Minister for Digital and Creative Industries, will be hosting her sixth University Fair on Thursday 17th May as part of her Aspiration Stourbridge programme.

Now in its sixth year, Aspiration Stourbridge aims to give local young people the chance to participate in a series of workshops, seminars and networking fairs – all designed to inspire them to fulfil their potential.

The event on Thursday 17th May will be held at Glasshouse College, Stourbridge, from 4:30pm – 6pm. It is free to enter, and students will be able to network with a wide variety of universities, as well as speak to UCAS, who offer information and support during the application process.

Past events have been well-attended by students, who have met representatives from universities including Oxford, Birmingham, LSE and Bath. Twenty-three universities have confirmed their attendance this year. Margot said:

“I am delighted to be hosting another Aspiration Stourbridge event for young people in my constituency. This year, we have had the highest number of universities confirm their attendance, and I am very pleased that students will have such a range of institutions to meet on Thursday. I look forward to meeting students on the day.”

If you or your child would like to attend this event, please email margot.james.mp@parliament.uk or phone 01384 370574 to confirm your place.
