Kevin's interest in radio started when he was asked to go and have a look around Dudley Hospital Radio's studio in the early 1970s. Six months later he had a conversation with a local DJ who was looking for someone to help him with his current radio show on Wordsley Hospital Radio, Kevin was invited to co-present the show on the following week subsequently going on to present his own show.

Kevin joined Dudley Hospital Radio, and then went on to Radio Wulfrun, Wolverhampton Hospital Radio and was with them for 30 years.

In the meantime, Kevin broke into local radio, doing travel reports for Buzz FM and then as a speedway correspondent and coverage for BBC Radio WM. Kevin's also reported on speedway for Sky Sports.
