Luckily, though, we live in a time where important research goes into a lot things to improve our lives, which is why technology has come on in leaps and bounds, transport is better than ever and you can do your shopping without actually leaving your sofa.

Oh, there's also vodka infused ice cream which gets you drunk, too.

Finding out about it now is fairly useless, given that summer has drawn to a close and you're presumably already fighting off a cold - but if you turn the heating right up at home, then maybe you can have a sesh on the ice cream. And, if you're American then this has come at the right time for you.

Arctic Buzz, based in Baltimore, are the brand behind the innovative desert offering flavours such as Key Lime Pie, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, Raspberry, Vanilla and Coconut.

The standard 100ml tubs contain between 8.6 and 8.9 percent alcohol, which is enough to get you a bit buzzed, but if you can really put away your ice cream, then a few tubs will get you on your way.

Sadly it's not a global thing (it never is) and is currently only available in liquor-stores in the Baltimore area. If you do happen to live there, or are visiting, then you can find out where to pick it up here.
