Registration 12pm, Concert 4.45pm
Wombourne and District Choral Society (WDCS) invite you to join them for an informal day of singing fun with our Come and Sing Faure Requiem and Cantique de jean Racine. It will include an afternoon of intensive rehearsal with our conductor Dr. Edward Caine, followed by an informal concert to which we encourage you to invite friends and relations.
If you are used to singing in choirs and know the Requiem or can read music well then this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy one of the most beautiful pieces of the choral repertoire as well as to get to know our choral society, which is open to all comers. We also welcome people who have never tried singing with a choir to come and challenge themselves to have a go with help of our experienced members.
Sheet music will be provided on the door although you are welcome to bring your own copy, and there will be regular tea and coffee breaks during the day.
Initial registration will start at 12pm with rehearsals starting at 12.45pm. The concert will be at 4.45pm.
The session costs £15 to take part, and audience tickets for the performance are free.
