The leader of Dudley Council has released a video speaking to residents, after the council introduced MyStreet Dudley in September.
The video is available to watch online now and the new reporting platform helps residents to report potholes, track progress and see what’s happening with reports.
A mobile-first platform, it offers an interactive map and residents can receive updates throughout the reporting journey, giving greater viability from report to resolution.
More than 500 reports have already been made on the platform over the last five weeks, of these reports 48, which were classified as the most urgent, have already been repaired and 70 were identified as duplicate reports or did not meet the criteria.
The remaining reports are being progressed in line with our service standards. Residents who have already submitted through MyDudley not need to submit their report again, as these will continue to be managed by the service.
Phase two of MyStreet Dudley will give people the option to report other highways defects from early next year. Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
“We have listened to feedback from residents reporting potholes and highways issues
“People felt it needed to be simpler, easier to use and wanted us to provide a better update once reports have been submitted.
“Residents told us they wanted a more transparent reporting experience, and we have responded by introducing the service designed around that feedback.
“This is just one of the improvements we’re making to modernise our services, improve residents experience and to Deliver for Dudley.”
