A 13 year-old boy has appeared in court charged with stabbing another teenager in Rowley Regis.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested following an incident in Throne Crescent on Tuesday night. Police were called to the area following reports of a disturbance in an alleyway at 6.40pm.
Following his arrest, the 13-year-old was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife.
When he appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday (October 6) he was remanded to youth detention accommodation to appear at the court to give his plea this morning.
A 15-year-old boy, who suffered severe wounds in the incident, was given trauma care at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital where he is recovering.
