
A 17 year-old who took part in a robbery spree in Stourbridge just days before killing a Netherton father-of-two, has had restrictions forbidding the use of his name lifted.
Brandon Phillips was jailed for 10 years in January for the manslaughter of 41-year-old Simon Johnson.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard how Phillips was part of a gang who left their victims frightened and badly shaken when they robbed them of their mobile ‘phones.
Mr Johnson was stabbed to death after Phillips, of Dudhill Road, Rowley Regis, and 19-year-old Damilola Johnson - broke into his Cradley Road property, looking for cannabis.
