The death of a 78-year-old man in Halesowen will feature on a TV show which focuses on the work of forensic teams within West. Midlands Police.

78 year old David Varlow was found dead at his home on Manor Lane in Halesowen in November 2021.

The elderly victim's house had been ransacked but the handles of a knife and a pair of scissors and a phone cable had been left at the scene.

West Midlands Police's experts found vital forensics opportunities around DNA traces as they helped investigators piece together what had happened, which led to a prosecution.
