Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen, the charity who helps and supports older people in the area are inviting users and their family and friends to attend their annual general meeting.
The event is taking place from 3pm to 4pm on Friday 5 December at the Elton Centre, St John’s Road, Stourbridge.
It is a great opportunity for individuals to find out about this year’s performance, hear about plans for the future and meet trustees, staff and volunteers.
David Harbach, chair of trustees commented: “Age Concern is a lifeline for many older people living in the areas of Stourbridge and Halesowen as we provide so much help, support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives.
"Being older is no longer the sedimentary lifestyle it used to be - today people are living longer and they want to enjoy their later years. We not only provide advice, support and assistance, we also hold many events and activities at our lovely, tailor made building.
“It is important that users, and those who care about them, know about our charity. By attending the AGM they will be able to find out what we offer, find out more and ask any questions they may have.
"It is also a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to come along, find out more and see our facilities.”
Light refreshments will be provided, and those who attend on the day will be entered into a free prize draw to win shopping vouchers.
