Apply to be the next Great British Sewing Bee

The team behind the hit BBC Two show are on the lookout for a new collection of brilliant amateur Black Country sewers to take part in the next series.

The hit show, now in its sixth series, will once again be hosted by Brummie comedian, Joe Lycett and will see people who are handy with a needle and thread compete against each other, to take the crown of the best British sewer.

Over eight weeks, contestants will be put to the test, taking on challenges to impress resident expert judges - top Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant and Esme Young who teaches at prestigious fashion school, Central Saint Martins, and worked as a costume designer on several big films including Trainspotting.

If you think you have the sewing talent to get involved you can apply now - the closing date for applications for the next series is 27 May 2019.

To find out more, or to put your name forward, fill in the online application.
