A man has been arrested after police recovered a firearm from a vehicle in Lye.
Officers received a report of suspicious activity involving a vehicle on Long Lane, Halesowen on Monday evening.
The vehicle failed to stop for officers, with the driver decamping on Claycroft Place, Lye but we managed to catch up with him.
During searches, tools and weapons were found including a possible firearm. This has been recovered for forensic examinations.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, going equipped, dangerous driving and failing to stop. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A force spokesperson said: "We are specifically working to identify criminals involved in serious, organised crime and bring them to justice, while preventing people from falling victim to some of their traumatic or harmful crimes.
