Legendary comedian Ben Elton is to perform in Dudley next year as part of an extension to his long-running national tour.
The stand-up, actor, author and director will be performing his show Authentic Stupidity at Dudley Town Hall on Wednesday February 12.
Elton’s multi-award winning career spans across four decades after he shot to fame during the 1980s on Saturday Night Live. His resume includes hit TV shows such as The Young Ones and Blackadder; West End musicals including We Will Rock You and The Beautiful Game; and best-selling novels such as Stark and Dead Famous.
Alex Jackson, booker for Dudley Borough Halls, said: “Ben is regarded by many as the ‘godfather’ of modern stand-up.
“A true legend of the game, we are delighted to be welcoming him to Dudley as part of an extension to his tour due to phenomenal demand.
“We would urge people to get in quickly as tickets are sure to be snapped up quickly.”
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Black Country comic and social media phenomenon Jonny Cole announcing a date at Dudley Town Hall on Thursday May 8 next year, with tickets flying out in the first week.
And a host of other comics including Su Pollard, Mark Watson, Jimmy Carr and Milton Jones all have dates booked in at one of the three halls.
To book tickets for any of the shows, visit boroughhalls.co.uk or call the box office on 01384 812 812.
