Book lovers are invited to a special launch event in Dudley next month to meet Penguin Random House’s biggest debut author of 2016.
Birmingham born writer Kit de Waal will be visiting the Archives and Local History Centre on Thursday 14 July to celebrate the release of her debut novel My Name is Leon.
Dudley Libraries were given a number of pre-release copies of the novel which have been distributed to reading groups in the borough to read and review ahead of the event. Cllr Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said:
“We’re really pleased to be holding this event with one of the rising stars of British fiction and this is a great opportunity for the audience to discuss this acclaimed first novel with the author.”
Kit de Waal will be at the Archives and Local History Centre on Thursday 14 July at 6.30pm. Tickets to the event are free and open to all and will include light refreshments and a talk by the author with a question and answer session.
