Bin collector injured in Wordsley

A bin collector has been hurt when he became caught between a lorry and another vehicle in Wordsley.

The 53-year-old was taken to hospital after getting his arm trapped between his bin lorry and a car in Coldstream Drive yesterday morning.

Two of his colleagues, aged 48 and 37, were also checked over by paramedics at the scene.

An ambulance spokesman confirmed that the accident happened as the car was trying to go past the lorry and that the driver of the car was unhurt.
