Black Country treasure Doreen Tipton comes to Stourbridge

The Black Country comedy queen is set to perform a two night run in Stourbridge next year.

The self-confessed “lazy cow” will be performing 'Rise of the Yam-Yam' on Monday March 12th and Tuesday March 13th 2018.

In a unique mixture of hilarious stand-up, sit-down, video surprises and unforgettable music, Doreen sets out to challenge Darwin with her very own Theory of Evolution.

Tickets went on sale on Friday, and are expected to go quickly. Peter Jordan, halls and venues manager, said:

“We're very pleased to welcome the Comedy Queen of the Black Country back to Stourbridge next year for two performances of her latest brilliant live show.

“Tickets for Doreen's dates with us at the Town Hall earlier this year flew out and we're expecting a similar response this time, so please book early to avoid disappointment!”

Doreen has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame after her first Youtube clip, titled Doreen’s Story, went viral. She is the reigning Midlands Entertainment Personality of the Year, voted by readers of What’s On magazine. Doreen was also crowned Best Newcomer at the recent Great British Panto Awards in London, as well as being listed in the top 10 fastest rising comedy stars by ents24, the UK’s biggest entertainment website.

Doors open for the two shows at 6.45pm, with the curtain going up at 7.30pm. Tickets, costing £16 plus booking fees, are available from boroughhalls.co.uk or by calling 01384 812812.
