Body found in Halesowen lane has been identified

Police have confirmed that a woman whose body was found in Leasowes Lane, Halesowen, has been formally identified.

The 42-year-old was discovered by a member of the public on Wednesday, January 17th. The victim has yet to be named publicly. 

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, it was apparent nothing could be done to save the patient who was confirmed dead at the scene. A West Midlands Police spokesman said:

"The cause of death is not yet known and more tests will be carried out. A file is being prepared for the coroner, while the woman's family are being supported by specially trained officers."
