More jobs will be created in Stourbridge following the opening of the rebuilt BP service station on Hagley Road.
Also including an M&S Simply Food, the development – which reopened yesterday will bring an additional 24 jobs to the town.
About £1.5 million has been spent on the rebuild of the site, with the store now offering motorists the chance to fill up their shopping baskets at the same time as they fill up with petrol, as well as a toilet accessible to disabled people and a baby changing-room. Andrew Kenney, BP district manager, said:
“The new store and introduction of the M&S Simply Food range means we have been able to create 24 new jobs for people in the local area.
“It’ll be open late providing customers with a selected range of Marks & Spencer’s high quality fresh, innovative food alongside the best of BP fuels and our very own Wild Bean Café.”
Stourbridge's new ring road-based McDonald's store, which also opened on Wednesday, will bring 110 jobs to the town.
