Broadcaster returns to host second annual Thrive Mental Health Star Awards

The second annual Thrive West Midlands Mental Health Star Awards are set to take place this Thursday, hosted once again by broadcaster Adrian Goldberg.

Winners will be announced at the ceremony, in the Richardson Suite at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion FC. The audience will hear some of the inspiring stories behind this year’s nominations and be entertained by comedian Barbara Nice and the Wellbeing Choir.

Sean Russell, West Midlands Combined Authority director of implementation for mental health, wellbeing and radical prevention, said the awards were designed to recognise those who have made a positive difference and to look at the wider work by the Thrive West Midlands programme.

More than 120 nominations were received from across the WMCA region - anyone can suggest an individual or organisation they feel has had a positive impact on their own or someone else’s mental wellbeing.

The awards will be an opportunity to learn more about work in the region, including progress against the Thrive West Midlands Action Plan.
