St John’s Wine Rooms in Bromsgrove has launched a new charity partnership to mark its official opening.

David McNally, who co-owns the bar and restaurant with his wife Gaye and sister and brother-in-law Joy and Steve Collett said:

“Six months on, we’re thrilled with the support that we’ve had. Our dream was to create the best food and drink venue in Bromsgrove and in doing so we feel as if we’ve created our own little community.”

The opening coincided with the launch of a new charity partnership with Friends of St John’s, a charity which supports both the ongoing maintenance of St John’s Church in Bromsgrove and the local community around it. Friends of St John’s Chairman, Jo Slade, added:

“We are extremely grateful to St John’s Wine Rooms for their support, and we are excited to be their charity partner.

“I’m really looking forward to working together on future events and initiatives.”

She also thanked guests for their generous contributions to a launch night raffle which, when added to proceeds from ticket sales, raised £1,410 for the charity.
